Policy Agreement – Veranda Room/Tuscan Hall
“The risk of insult is the price of clarity.” – Roy Williams
We apologize for the rigidity of the language in this document and hope you will understand that its purpose is only to clarify, not to offend. Thank you! 🙂
Catering – You’re free to use any caterer you choose or you may bring in your own food. We ask only that the venue be left clean. If we have to clean up a food mess, we’re keeping your security deposit. (Ouch! That was pretty harsh, right? But we mean it.)
Alcohol is permitted but must it be served by a licensed AND insured TABC server. We require the server’s name and a copy of their TABC license and proof of insurance prior to your event.
Music – You’re free to connect your iPod or CD player to our in-house sound system for no extra charge. (And we have AWESOME speakers.) Professional bands & DJs are required to bring their own sound systems. All amplified music must be kept indoors. Soft-voiced instruments such as flutes, harps, violins etc. are permitted outdoors.
Decorations – Wax candles are permitted only in glass containers. Bubbles are allowed but confetti, rice and birdseed are not allowed. Decorations are encouraged but they cannot be attached with nails, staples or tacks to the walls or ceilings.
Smoking is never permitted inside our venues.
But we do have designated smoking areas outside.
Delivery and Pickups are your responsibility. We do not sign for deliveries nor assume liability or responsibility for damages to – or loss of – personal property, equipment, merchandise or articles left prior to, during or following your event.
Rental items may NOT be left overnight in the Veranda Room.
Items left overnight in Tuscan Hall MUST be picked up by 10am the following day.
No early drop-offs. Remember what we said about us NOT being responsible to guard and protect your stuff? So please be sure to rent enough time to set-up, clean-up and enjoy your special event.
Safety – We are not responsible for the safety of your guests on our campus.
Please watch children carefully. NO climbing or playing on walls or in water features.
Cancellations made 120 days or more prior to the event will receive a 50% refund of rental fees paid. Cancellations 119 days to 60 days prior to the event will receive a 25% refund. No rental fees will be refunded for events cancelled less than 60 days prior to the event.
Your Security/Damage Deposit will be refunded 100% if your event is cancelled at any time prior to your event. It will also be refunded 100% if you leave things clean and undamaged. 🙂
Force Majeure – Should an emergency make it impossible for the facilities to accommodate you and your guests, your event may be rescheduled. Should you choose not to reschedule, your rental fees will not be refunded.
